Had not been to silk road in over a year and the food was amazing still. So much flavour and the serving sizes are huge. We got in early (6pm) so food came out really quick. Recommend you book as it is a very popular restaurant

Only recently tried this cuisine, we had the meats Platter, which was mostly good except the lamb was a bit chewy. Also tried a noodle dish with chicken- thick noodles but full of flavour. The ottoman coffee was a standout. Will go back to try more

Went to this place with colleagues to catch up as we had been wanting to try it. I always walked pass it and smell the amazing cumin lamb smell wafting out from the shop but never get the chance to give it a go until now.Flipping open the menu, it was really exciting as I could not recognise most of the dishes, which usually means it's not dumbed down for foreigners who are not used to their cuisine. We took a while to decide because of such big menu offerings but finally we settled on a starter of 5 permude (reminds me of pan fried gyoza/ colleague said empanadas), a triple mixed kebab plate, a kurgak korma (stir fried handmade quarter length noodles) and I got an ayran (salted yoghurt drink).The waitress was really attentive and got straight to us when we were ready and they swapped out our empty water bottles as soon as it reached bottom.We enjoyed all the dishes. Loved the flavours and the meats are all juicy and had nice grilled smokiness. I especially loved their handmade noodles which has a good chew to it. The fermented chili oil that was served on the side was a good add if you'd take spiciness. Would definitely go back and try some of their other dishes.

This restaurant delivers Uyghur cuisine. Recommend kebab, laghman and kunafe. Food tells us about our history. Food can tell us a lot about a society in the past and the present, including what people lived on and how they managed to create a food supply, often in difficult circumstances.

Great ambience and friendly staff! A family friendly restaurant. First time having Uyghur cuisine and it was a delight. My favourite was a the pastry with the cheese filing.

Silk Road Uyghur Cuisine
Really delicious and unique flavours, can’t wait to go back and try more dishes! We had the Permude and the Kawap Laghman, and tried a sweet yoghurt drink and an Ayran. Very generous portions too!
